AGENDA

  • California has been a leader in fighting against hate – from groundbreaking legislation to statewide reporting infrastructure, hear first-hand from the architects and advocates about the importance of these systems, what’s at stake in this current political climate, and what we can do collectively to take action.

  • Throughout civil rights movements in California and beyond, joy has fueled resilience and sustained the fight for justice. Featuring live performances by San Francisco Drag Laureate Per Sia and NPR Tiny Desk Contest winner and rapper Ruby Ibarra, this session explores how artists use creative expression as a form of resistance. Through performance and conversation, they show how art can affirm identity, challenge oppression, and create space for belonging and pride.

  • This panel brings together leaders behind California's ecosystem of anti-hate support programs to explore how these pathways intersect. Through the lens of lived experience, legal advocacy, disability justice, and on-the-ground community response, panelists examine what it takes to move people from fear and isolation toward healing and agency.
