This dashboard is a resource for understanding experiences of hate across the state, including reported hate crimes and other forms of hate. Our goal is to provide direct access to key metrics, raise awareness, and inform efforts to eliminate hate, bias, and discrimination in our communities.

Survey Responses on Student Experiences of Discrimination
California Healthy Kids Survey
This page includes data on youth perceptions and attitudes, linked between hate incidents and a student’s sense of safety in school and online. The California Healthy Kids Survey details students’ perspectives on identity-based bullying, verbal slurs, and online hate speech, understanding how youth perceive the transfer and escalation of violence in both offline and online environments. The California Healthy Kids Survey is collected biennially from students in public schools across the state. Students are asked to assess school climate, health risks, safety, and well-being.
