New Data Dashboard to Help Californians Better Understand the Statewide Impacts of Hate
CA vs Hate, in partnership with UC Berkeley’s Possibility Lab, has launched a new public data dashboard that provides insight into experiences of hate across California.
The new dashboard breaks down data from reports submitted to the CA vs Hate hotline and online portal in 2024, alongside findings from the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) and the California Healthy Kids Survey, in an effort to paint a broader picture of how hate, bias, and discrimination impact communities across the state.
Designed as a resource for community members, advocates, researchers, and policymakers, the dashboard provides direct access to key metrics on reported hate incidents and hate crimes, helping raise awareness and inform efforts to prevent and respond to hate.
In addition to data and trends, the dashboard includes personal stories from Californians who have received support through CA vs Hate, and highlights the work of community-based organizations that are part of the network.
The new dashboard reflects the program’s ongoing commitment to accessible data and community-informed solutions to hate.
You can learn more about hate in California and the resources available to support those affected by exploring the dashboard.
